Advanced Analytical Chemistry
This year in advanced
analytical chemistry we will be focusing on
chemometrics.
Course goals:
We seek to
provide a learning experience for students that will
enable them to:
1. Develop and refine skills needed to
design experiments and accurately assess data
2. Be able to clearly articulate -- both
verbally and in writing -- ethically and legally
acceptable data analysis and interpretation
Specific
Course Objectives:
Students
successfully completing this course will:
1. Be familiar with statistical analysis software
packages ranging from SYSTAT to GraphPad
2. Be familiar with the appropriate application of
statistical test
3. Be able to design and execute experiments in a
testable manner
4. Be able to assess the quality of data
5. Be able to test hypotheses based on appropriate
chemometric approaches
